Pop singer Malkoo, widely recognized for his hit track “Nak Da Koka,” has recently released a new song, which has sparked considerable controversy. This time, he has found support from an unexpected source – the military. While Malkoo himself has not shared any clips of his latest song, snippets have appeared on social media, shared by former PTI leaders and journalists.
Malkoo claims that his new composition is a tribute to the military. Originally, the song included mentions of “Kaptaan” and “Qaidi Number 804.” This release interestingly coincided with the government placing Malkoo’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL) just a day before he was scheduled to travel to the UK and US for a series of concerts. Malkoo expressed his gratitude to PTI founder Khan on his YouTube channel, which has seen a significant increase in viewers recently.
Former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has announced plans for a press conference following the departure of several PTI leaders on May 9. This move comes shortly after Malkoo, who gained fame with a viral song supported by Imran Khan, was prohibited from leaving the country. Journalist Absa Komal noted that the updated song now includes new lyrics praising the military.
Malkoo’s troubles began in March when Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) added his name to the ECL after he released two songs on his YouTube channel, “804” and “Nak Da Koka.” Malkoo asserts that these songs, which highlight support for PTI founder Imran Khan, led to his ECL listing just before the February 8 general elections.
