This week saw Vivo unveil its latest V40 series, including the V40 and V40 Pro, both equipped with 5,500mAh batteries, the largest yet in the V series. The V40 retains the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset from its predecessor, while the V40 Pro advances with a powerful Dimensity 9200+ chip, surpassing the Dimensity 8200 found in earlier models. The new phones are available in India and Europe, with the V40 priced from INR 39,999 and €500, and the V40 Pro starting at INR 54,999.

Infinix also made waves with the launch of the Note 40X 5G, which features a 108MP main camera and the Dimensity 6300 chipset. The phone comes in Starlit Black, Lime Green, and Palm Blue, starting at INR 13,999 ($167).

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset has been spotted on Geekbench, promising a 35% increase in single-core and 30% in multi-core performance compared to its predecessor. Meanwhile, MediaTek introduced the Helio G100, which closely resembles the Helio G99 but adds support for 200MP main cameras.

 

This follows a previous leak which brought us EU prices.

 

Leaks about the Pixel 9 series revealed that the Pixel 9 Pro will start at $999.99 and the Pixel 9 Pro XL at $1,199 for the 256GB model. The XL is expected to feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with high brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Lastly, the Huawei nova Flip has been officially announced in China with a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED screen and a 4,400mAh battery. The Honor V3 will be available globally in Red, Green, and Black, while the Galaxy A35 and A55 will receive Galaxy AI enhancements. Sales for these new devices are set to start soon.

It’s unclear exactly when, but rather soon.

 

Red, Green and Black are coming, White will remain China-only.
