Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced that Karachi will relocate its old bus terminals away from crowded city areas to alleviate traffic congestion. The move aims to ease pressure on the city’s roads and improve transport efficiency.
Starting August 14, a free shuttle service will help passengers travel from old terminals to the new locations. This initiative also includes the construction of a police checkpost at the new Karachi bus terminal to enhance security and provide modern amenities.
Memon assured that the transition will be managed to minimize disruption for both transporters and passengers. This decision follows a recent survey identifying illegal parking sites, which the Sindh Building Control Authority hopes to address to further alleviate traffic problems.
