Karachi is set to experience another spell of light rain on Monday, as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts continued showers. The city has been seeing intermittent drizzle and light rain for more than a week, with brief pauses.

The PMD reported that Karachi’s temperature could reach a maximum of 30-32°C today, after dropping as low as 26.5°C. The humidity level is notably high at 92%, with winds from the west blowing at speeds of 14 to 24 kilometers per hour this morning.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz predicted that Karachi’s weather would remain pleasant throughout the week, with ongoing light rain expected. He also mentioned that another spell of monsoon rain is likely to begin in Sindh on August 18, bringing more downpours to various parts of the province.

On Sunday morning, light rain graced areas such as Mauripur Road, Lyari, Gulistan-e-Johar, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, Gulshan-e-Jamal, Rashid Minhas Road, Sharea Faisal, Korangi, and their surroundings, enhancing the city’s already pleasant weather.

The Met Office had earlier indicated on August 8 that strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal were expected to influence various parts of the country until August 12.
