The Indian Cricket Board has announced significant prize money for the national team following their victory in the ICCT20 World Cup. On Saturday, the Indian cricket team emerged as world champions in the shortest format for the second time, defeating South Africa in a thrilling final in Barbados.

Chasing a target of 177 runs, South Africa managed to score 169 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, resulting in a narrow 7-run victory for India. Following this remarkable win, the BCCI wasted no time in rewarding the team for their exceptional performance.

In a statement released on the social media platform X, the chairman of the board, Jay Shah, revealed that the Indian team would receive a prize money of 125 crore Indian rupees, equivalent to about 4 billion Pakistani rupees. Shah congratulated all the players, coaches, and support staff, commending their unparalleled ability, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
