Nasir Iqbal Advances to Bega Open Squash Semifinals After Strong Victory

Pakistani squash sensation Nasir Iqbal has advanced to the semifinals of the Bega Open Squash tournament in Australia after a commanding performance against Japan’s Tomo Endo. Iqbal won all three sets decisively with scores of 11-4, 11-7, and 11-7, showcasing his impressive form.

In the semifinals, Iqbal will face Switzerland’s Robin Gadola, who previously knocked out the top seed, Noor Zaman. This marks Iqbal’s fifth consecutive semifinal appearance in Australian squash tournaments, having won three out of four previous events this year.

Iqbal’s exceptional season includes a recent victory at the Tasmanian Open Squash Championship, where he defeated Switzerland’s David Barnett with scores of 11-8, 12-10, 6-11, and 11-5. Alongside his Tasmanian win, he also claimed titles at the Bendigo International and Shepparton Open and reached the semifinals at the Victoria Open.

The Bega Open Squash tournament, with a prize pool of $12,000, continues to highlight Iqbal’s remarkable progress and consistency in the sport. His recent success follows a notable performance in the CNS Squash Championship final held in Karachi earlier this year.
