The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed a 17-member squad for their upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. The series will feature two matches, with the first taking place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 21 to 25, and the second at Karachi from August 30 to September 3.

Training for the team will start on August 11 at Pindi Stadium under the guidance of head coach Jason Gillespie and assistant coach Azhar Mahmood. Bangladesh’s team is set to arrive in Islamabad on August 17 and will begin their training later that day.

Shan Masood will lead the Pakistan team, with Saud Shakeel serving as vice-captain. This decision marks a strategic shift from Shaheen Shah Afridi, aiming to manage his workload as Pakistan embarks on a busy international schedule.

The squad includes 13 players from Pakistan’s recent series against Australia, with newcomers Mohammad Huraira, Kamran Ghulam, and Mohammad Ali being recognized for their strong domestic performances. Naseem Shah also makes a return to the Test side after a 13-month absence.
