Neelum Bashir is a poet, short story and novel writer. She is known for her services in Punjabi and Urdu literature. Neelum Bashir has so far published multiple books. She is currently known for her viral Punjabi song Gawandanay’s poetry which was performed by her sisters Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas. The brilliant poet is a very sensitive person who often expresses her thoughts through her poetry.
Recently, Neelum Bashir appeared in Wasi Shah’s show Zabardast. In the show, she revealed the disturbing facts about late Pakistani television star Roohi Bano.
Neelum Bashir said, “We used to visit actress Roohi Bano’s house more often; Asma used to visit her on a daily basis. I remember she used to damage her drama reels, and she used to wrap it around the trees, along with the sad captions. I also wrote a book on her named “Kutton ki Duniya.” She spent a miserable life, and her last time was so terrible. She lived with a monster. She was always a lost person, the gas stoves in her house used to remain open. We often used to say, ‘she might die of a gas explosion one day’.
She further added, “Her mother was very strict and wanted her to earn money, and without money, Roohi Bano wasn’t allowed to enter home; obviously, she was also a single mother; she lived a tough life, and her end was also terrible”. Here is the link to the video:
