Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem is gearing up for the Paris Olympics javelin throw qualification event on Tuesday. He will compete alongside India’s Neeraj Chopra in Group B, with the event starting at 2:50 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
Nadeem is the sole medal hope for Pakistan in the Paris Olympics. The qualifiers are crucial, with a minimum throw of 84 meters required to advance to the final round. Other competitors in Group B include top-ranked throwers like Edis Matusevicius, Anderson Peters, and Germany’s Max Dehning, who has thrown over 90 meters this year.
The final round will feature the top 12 athletes based on their throws. Nadeem’s past achievements include a silver medal at the 2023 World Championship and a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games with a throw of 90.18 meters
