Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has launched a fierce critique against Imran Khan, comparing him to Hitler and accusing him of being a fascist. In a recent statement, Bokhari condemned Khan for his accusations against Maryam Nawaz, highlighting the arrest of Maryam in front of her father during Khan’s tenure. She labeled Khan as “Fitna Khan” and criticized him for demanding Article 6 cases against political opponents and using jail cameras to inflict torture.
Bokhari emphasized that Maryam Nawaz had not arrested Bushra Bibi or any of Khan’s sisters, contrasting Khan’s actions with Maryam’s. She reminded that Khan had fled in fear on a wheelchair and did not face the consequences like a leader should. During Khan’s time as Prime Minister, more than a hundred League leaders were arrested on political charges, yet none abandoned Mian Nawaz Sharif or the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
She also criticized the “revolutionaries” of Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), for holding press conferences after spending just one night in jail. Bokhari held Khan responsible for the failed coup of May 9, accusing him of anti-Pakistan conspiracies and calling for negotiations with the army despite attacking military installations and burning statues of martyrs. She insisted that Khan must face consequences for his actions and account for the failed coup and conspiracies against Pakistan.
