Three Terrorists Arrested in Punjab Amidst Counterterrorism Operations

Punjab’s Counterterrorism Department (CTD) announced the arrest of three terrorists following 78 intelligence-based operations across several cities, including Faisalabad, Jhelum, and Chakwal. The main commander of Daesh was apprehended in Faisalabad, alongside two other suspects identified as Abdul Wahab, Saifullah, and Khurram Abbas.
During these operations, the CTD recovered a significant cache of explosive materials, including three detonators, eight feet of safety fuse wire, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), bullets, weapons, mobile phones, and cash. These items were intended for use in creating widespread fear and panic among the public.
In addition to these arrests, the CTD carried out 952 combing operations this week, during which 506 suspects were detained and 32,056 individuals were questioned. The spokesman emphasized that these actions are part of the CTD’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe Punjab and eradicating terrorism. The department remains steadfast in its efforts to protect the region and its citizens from the threat of terrorist activities.
