Dharmendra celebrated his 89th birthday on Sunday, enjoying the special occasion with his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. The actor cut a large cake while fans and paparazzi gathered to capture the moment. His wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, also shared heartfelt birthday posts in his honor.
A viral video captured Dharmendra walking alongside his son, Sunny Deol, as people around them offered their birthday wishes. The actor then stood before a table to cut a six-tier cake decorated with his old photographs. Afterward, several attendees posed for pictures with him and paid tribute to the legendary actor during the celebration.

Soon after, Bobby joined Dharmendra and Sunny. Dharmendra hugged both sons and kissed their hands. The two helped their father sit on a chair as guests gathered around. For the celebration, Dharmendra wore a brown shirt under a black jacket and pants, while Sunny chose a white shirt and jeans. Bobby wore a white vest and trousers.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Hema Malini posted several old pictures with Dharmendra and wrote, “A day to celebrate! Happiest Birthday to the man of my dreams. On the work front, Dharmendra will next appear in a war drama titled ‘Ikkis’, sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan‘s grandson, Agastya Nanda. The film is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, ‘Ikkis’ is described as a coming-of-age drama featuring significant war elements, including tank battles. A release date for the film has not yet been announced, but filming is expected to begin soon.
