WASHINGTON: Poco has introduced its first-ever tablet, the Poco Pad, based on the acclaimed Redmi Pad Pro. Designed to offer a blend of power and affordability, the Poco Pad inherits many features from its predecessor.

The Poco Pad boasts a spacious 12.1″ LCD display with a high-resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, supporting Dolby Vision and featuring a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. Equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and 8GB of RAM, it ensures seamless multitasking and performance.

In terms of storage, the Poco Pad comes with 256GB built-in and supports expandable storage via microSDXC. It operates on Xiaomi’s Hyper OS based on Android 14, offering a user-friendly experience.

For multimedia enthusiasts, the tablet is equipped with four Dolby Atmos speakers, delivering immersive audio quality. Its 10,000 mAh battery supports 33W fast charging, promising extended usage without frequent recharging.

Design-wise, the Poco Pad features an aluminum unibody available in dark gray and dark blue variants, maintaining a sleek and durable profile. It supports stylus use and includes optional accessories like a cover, keyboard, and pencil.

Despite its impressive feature set, the Poco Pad lacks a fingerprint reader, which may be a consideration for users prioritizing biometric security.

Unboxing the Poco Pad reveals a minimalist package with essential accessories, including a USB-A-to-C cable and a 33W power adapter — a notable inclusion compared to its counterpart, the Redmi Pad Pro.

The Poco Pad aims to appeal to consumers seeking a reliable and feature-rich tablet experience at a competitive price point, solidifying its position in the tablet market.
