Gas supply to certain areas in Sindh and Balochistan is disrupted due to a leakage in one of the feeder lines supplying gas to Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC). The company announced on Facebook that the Gambat GPF IV feeder line had developed a leak, leading to a gas shortage of 38mmcfd.

SSGC has informed the public that this issue will result in low gas pressure in affected regions. “Inconvenience is regretted,” the company stated, assuring that a team from Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has already started repair work, which is expected to take around 20 hours to complete.

Gas supply in Sindh, Balochistan areas affected due to leakage

Last week, SSGC revealed that it was executing a gas pipeline augmentation and expansion plan in Karachi and surrounding areas to enhance gas supply and pressure. The company recently completed two significant pipeline projects, reinforcing its commitment to improving gas infrastructure.

SSGC Managing Director Imran Maniar reaffirmed the company’s dedication to ensuring a steady and improved gas supply to its consumers.
